Internships

We work with a small number of highly motivated students each year, selected for their mathematical depth and initiative, who seek a rigorous introduction to quantum computing research. Our short-term research projects offer an opportunity to apply strong mathematical skills to frontier problems in quantum algorithms and complexity theory. These projects will be focused and intensive providing motivated students with a concentrated introduction to the challenges and methods that shape current research in the field. They typically last around three months, with the opportunity to continue for longer periods based on mutual convenience.

Summer internships (for a 3-month period) funded by the Royal Society are available for exceptional candidates whose interests align closely with our current research directions - please get in touch if you believe you may be a good fit.

As we receive a high volume of inquiries, we are unable to respond to every message (and may take at least a week to reply). However, you are welcome to contact us with "[Prospective intern]" in the subject line. Please include: (1) Your CV; and (2) a 1–2 paragraph cover letter describing relevant past research, your future interests, and why you would like to join our group.
